Million Mile Month 2018: Wrap Up

April is now over as is Healthcode’s Million Mile Month 2018. Choosing a goal of one hundred miles, this pedometer geek set out to complete the goal one step at a time. But to accomplish the goal of a million miles, it required a whole community of walkers, runners, bikers, and swimmers working together.

A few days prior to the end of the month, Healthcode’s administrators (via email) indicated that it was going to be close as to whether the million miles would be met, and it was suggested that participants encourage others to join the event even at this late date. According to them, only an increase of 19% would put the goal within reach.

This pedometer geek may not have convinced anyone else to join; however, in addition to completing the goal of one hundred miles, an additional twenty+ miles was added to the total (19% increase). I suspect I was not the only one to exceed my goal as the administrators sent another email indicating the goal of million miles was met. Another successful Million Mile Month. #MMM2018 @HealthcodeIAM

About pedometergeek

A pharmacist by profession, a haiku poet by nature, I read and write. I have a book of haiku, Ohayo Haiku, and another somewhat alternative haiku book, Three Breaths, but write other genres. I also read...lots of novels! My favorite is, and remains, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged but I am also a big Harry Potter fan. I truly am a pedometer geek strapping on my pedometer as soon as I awaken.
