BP: Haiku Dialogue–Finding Peace and Contemplation…

in leisure time…playing board games. This week’s Haiku Dialogue column at the Haiku Foundation was all about spending time playing board games. The global community of haiku poets rose to the occasion. The guest editor, Marietta McGregor, chose haiku written by poets in the following fifteen countries: Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, India, Italy, Japan,The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Romania, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This pedometer geek writer feels fortunate to have had Marietta accept one of the haiku submitted. It is as follows:

solitaire

the zen of

shuffling cards

~Nancy Brady, 2022

Thanks Marietta for choosing one of my haiku this week.It is appreciated.

About pedometergeek

A pharmacist by profession, a haiku poet by nature, I read and write. I have a book of haiku, Ohayo Haiku, and another somewhat alternative haiku book, Three Breaths, but write other genres. I also read...lots of novels! My favorite is, and remains, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged but I am also a big Harry Potter fan. I truly am a pedometer geek strapping on my pedometer as soon as I awaken.

    I don’t even have to shuffle… when I play on my computer…
There is a bit of a zen though trying for the best plays.
    Keeps the brain limber. 🙂
