BP: Haiku Dialogue–Finding Peace and Contemplation…

This week at the Haiku Foundation’s weekly column, Haiku Dialogue, the photo prompt was finding peace and contemplation…exercising in a park. From walking, jogging, biking, yoga, and tai chi, haiku poets from around the globe flexed their poetry muscles.

This pedometer geek writer was pleased that guest editor Marietta McGregor, who is editing this series of columns, chose one of the haiku submitted for inclusion in this week’s offerings. It is as follows:

beach yoga

her fall creates

a new pose

~Nancy Brady, 2021

To read all the haiku, that were selected for inclusion, or to read about next week’s prompt, check out Haiku Dialogue at http://www.thehaikufoundation.org.

Thanks Marietta for choosing one of my haiku; thanks to KJ and Lori who keep the column going each week.

About pedometergeek

A pharmacist by profession, a haiku poet by nature, I read and write. I have a book of haiku, Ohayo Haiku, and another somewhat alternative haiku book, Three Breaths, but write other genres. I also read...lots of novels! My favorite is, and remains, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged but I am also a big Harry Potter fan. I truly am a pedometer geek strapping on my pedometer as soon as I awaken.

I haven’t written for CR yet… so I’ll read your piece after. Get the Bridge PC?
Nice resturant. A converted Silk Factory right on the river front (well more or less). There was actually quite a bit of ground between the building and the bank. But makes for a good wedding venue.

    • JP, I always wait until after writing mine before I read any of the others. I don’t want to be influenced. Because I am a procrastinator, I tend to be one of the last to post. I just didn’t realize that it was a two-week prompt. I may have to write another IF I find the time. I did not get the PC yet. The last one I got was of the Susquehanna one. The restaurant sounds awesome.
Have a great weekend; I have to get ready for work (part-time only during pre-election)>

  2. PS. I have fallen during yoga. I am not as limber as I once was (IF I ever was). πŸ˜‰
