The focus of Haiku Dialogue, a weekly column of The Haiku Foundation, changed to color. Tia Haynes, continuing as the editor, chose to begin with all the hues of yellow. Her commentary included the fact that this column received the most submissions since her inception as editor. This pedometer geek feels fortunate that one of my haiku was accepted.

Check out Tia’s commentary on a few haiku as well as all of the other haiku at http://www.thehaikufoundation.org under Haiku Dialogue. Next week’s column will be the color blue, and submissions will be accepted until midnight on Saturday.
On a totally different subject, April is Healthcode’s Million Mile Month, in which the Healthcode community collectively tries to reach 1,000,000 miles whether by walking, running, swimming. or other exercises. Donations are accepted to help various charities, too.
Once again, this pedometer geek joined the community, and challenged myself to contribute at least 100 miles. As of April 8, this pedometer geek has managed over 28 miles. With the “stay home, shelter in place” mandate, this pedometer geek may be spending more time on the treadmill than usual.
Of course, it is never too late to join the Million Mile Month at http://www.healthcode.org and help the community reach the goal of a million miles.
Keep on walkin’. Gotta keep on walkin’.

I liked this one because it is true if so many labels that don’t match what they are supposed to describe.

Thanks, Sandy. The crayon maize was my favorite color in 64-Crayola box, but it certainly didn’t look the corn I eat. They retired that color several years ago and replaced it with some other color with an odd (to me) name. Crayola got rid of others that were not ‘popular’ as well (did they focus groups to decide this?). My new favorite yellow is called dandelion, but it doesn’t really look like the color of dandelion in my opinion; still it is rich looking yellow.

Unable to get out today – so I’m going to have to get my steps on my Twisty board. 🙂
Good luck!

What’s a Twisty board? It sounds like a product I once saw on Shark Tank.

I think that’s the one! Simply Fit… I actually got mine from the hardware store a few years ago for about $20 or $30 and it came with a CD video – though our CD/recorder bit the dust and we haven’t replaced it yet.
I think a few more companies now made something similar. But mine is still working 😉

I think it looks like both fun and exercise. My fear is that I would fall off it and hurt myself. I may have to give a try though. The price point seems reasonable at 20-30 dollars.
