White robin

Written by my friend, Jane. Enjoy the unnamed bird; I would love to see a white robin.

About pedometergeek

A pharmacist by profession, a haiku poet by nature, I read and write. I have a book of haiku, Ohayo Haiku, and another somewhat alternative haiku book, Three Breaths, but write other genres. I also read...lots of novels! My favorite is, and remains, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged but I am also a big Harry Potter fan. I truly am a pedometer geek strapping on my pedometer as soon as I awaken.

    • You are welcome. I would love to see a white robin. I figured I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. At least by sharing this, others will learn of this rare bird, Jane. ~nan

    Thanks, Nan.

(I did not realize that National post card day was May 1 with the week to follow also celebrating the post card. I have some I found for you… from my Library book store. I’ll try to get them in the mail this week).

    • Thanks, JP. I thought this post needed greater exposure so glad you read (and commented on Jane’s post).

You are too good to me. You know how I love postcards. I have to admit that I forgot that National postcard day had passed. I thought about it this morning when I was volunteering at the library. On the day of, I was busy working for the Board of Elections during the early (absentee) voting.

    • I am excited by the prospect. It has been a long time since I wrote a 5-7-5 haiku, and I am out of practice. Most times mine are now much shorter. I look forward to reading all of them. Speaking of which, today is the last day to submit to Stardust haiku for May’s issue. I haven’t submitted yet. How about you?

I have not submitted to Stardust. I’m having a time of it just enjoying the prompts I like. And I would have to look into Stardust again… as I wouldn’t want to rush. I’m just not a traditionalist in regards to kigo – and though I like the 5,7,5 form I can do the three line breath bit – if I chose. I have to actually wait until June for my local paper’s subscriber’s magazine. I’m also working on Carrot Ranch ‘stuff’. And reading in between… You know life getting in the way 😉

Oh I did get my Fit Bit Sahara Badge 2,983 (since I started…) Lifetime Miles May 11th. 🙂

  3. Congratulations of the Sahara Badge. I think I have the lowest badge possible. Maybe.

I do think you should consider Stardust. Her latest issue is up as of today. I didn’t realize I made the cut until ten minutes ago. It isn’t classic 5-7-5, but follows a similar pattern with fewer syllables.
