Kellye Cash, who wore the crown in 1987, has extensively traveled since her crowning. She has made numerous appearances around the United States. Her classical training in both voice and piano helped her achieve this position in the first place.
She participated in commercial, religious, and civic engagements in the year following her pageant win. She was seen with her uncle Johnny Cash, Lee Greenwood, and Bob Hope. She has made appearances on various television shows like Good Morning America, The Today Show, and The David Letterman Show. Besides being a guest host on The 700 Club and some infomercials, she is the co-host of her own local cable show called Let’s Talk West Tennessee.
Even now she makes approximately fifty appearances each year at charitable and political events, pageants, churches, and conferences so it is no wonder that she is one of the lovely Miss A. Sisters who will be a part of the Celebrate America program.
Concerts and theater performances continue to be a part of her life as well as evidenced by the fact that this past spring she starred in “Ring of Fire” at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville, Tennessee. She has also recorded six CDs including her latest country CD, “Back Home, Back When” (www.cdbaby.com).
Kellye resides in Milan, Tennessee with husband Todd and their three children. Rounding out her busy life, she is heavily involved with her church and other volunteer outreach programs.
With just a week to go before the big event, tickets are still available at http://www.sanduskystate.com. Donations are still being gratefully accepted for this 501(c)(3) organization, too. Check out former posts for the date and time and address for donations.
