Celebrate America…with fun! (or Funding)

Celebrate America, which will star the Sisterhood of Forever Miss Americas (see former blog post titled “Here they come…to Celebrate America”) would not be possible without  sponsors to offset expenses of this charity fundraiser. So far, in no particular order, the following generous foundations, businesses, and people have contributed to Celebrate America:

The Sidney Frohman Foundation
K&M Restorations, Inc.
Kasper Auto Group
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Martin
“The Mayer Kids” (In Memory of Jack and Beverlie Mayer)
Col. John Weeks

In-kind donations from various other businesses have also been received from the following:

Kalahari Resorts
Towne & Country Players, Inc.
Best-Western Plus-Sandusky
Jason Oakman, Xsalta LLC

Donations from the public are gratefully appreciated, too. Donations to this Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) program can be sent to the following address:

Celebrate America Productions
P.O. Box 1435
Sandusky, Ohio

Ticket sales for the upcoming event being held at the Sandusky State Theatre on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 7:20PM are just as important. They can be purchased by calling (419) 626-1950 or toll-free at (877) 626-1950 or online at http://www.sanduskystate.com.

As a reminder, all proceeds will go to the following charities:
“Michael’s House” for sexually and physically abused children
“The Huron Playhouse” (Ohio’s oldest continuing educational summer theatre)
“Life of Significance Scholarship” for graduating seniors who have shown commitment to Sandusky High School, their church, and their community.
“Beverlie Buck Mayer Music Scholarship” for college junior or seniors who will inspire students becoming performance music majors, music teachers, choir and/or orchestra directors.

About pedometergeek

A pharmacist by profession, a haiku poet by nature, I read and write. I have a book of haiku, Ohayo Haiku, and another somewhat alternative haiku book, Three Breaths, but write other genres. I also read...lots of novels! My favorite is, and remains, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged but I am also a big Harry Potter fan. I truly am a pedometer geek strapping on my pedometer as soon as I awaken.

  1. For those who can’t make it to Sandusky, Ohio for the show, but wish to help out the charities and don’t wish to use snail mail, there has been a GoFundMe.org site set up for donations, Check it out at: http://www.gofundme.com/bp3b4thk ~nan (AKA the pedometer geek)
